Software Engineer

Large entertainment and media corporation is looking to hire a Sr. Software Engineer. This is a fully remote position but must be able to work on PST time zone. Job Summary:The Television Studios technology team is looking for a software engineer with experience in the software development of transactional systems.Responsibilities:Develop transactional web applications using Angular and BootstrapWork with business analysts to understand the requirementsWork with technical management on designParticipate in code reviews and help improve our best practicesWork with quality assurance analysts to resolve defectsBasic Qualifications:Experience developing web services with Spring Boot and JavaKnowledge of relational databasesKnowledge of Java Persistence APIKnowledge of secure coding practicesComfortable developing shell scriptsExperience building and deploying applications using Maven or similarKnowledge of source control using GitAbility to work closely with system administrators, database administrators and network administratorsComfortable working in Agile/SCRUM environmentComfortable working in a small team (5-10 people)Comfortable developing on Windows clients and Linux serversCapable of working Pacific time zone hoursCapable of working remotelyPreferred Qualifications:Experience with single sign-on technologies like OpenIDExperience with Google pub/subExperience with NGINXExperience with TomcatExperience with Oracle stored proceduresExperience with Jasper ReportsExperience with DevOps on AWS EC2Experience with container technologies like DockerRequired Education BA/BS Degree - provided by Dice
