This position is for a Communications Manager, supporting AARP Medicare Supplement Plans on the Distribution team. The position will manage the entire B2B communication process from strategy to development, securing approvals, to the delivery of AARP Medicare Supplement Plan correspondences for authorized to offer agents and partners. The ideal candidate will collaborate with internal teams and leadership to create communication strategies and effectively deliver key messages to intended audiences with accuracy and professionalism, while maintaining brand integrity. This includes the ability to think creatively and strategically to identify communication opportunities and recommend tactics. The Communications Manager must be an organized, motivated self-starter with excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as great attention to detail. The candidate must have the ability to perform in a fast-paced environment, be flexible, and prioritize multiple time-sensitive tasks simultaneously.You''ll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.Primary Responsibilities: Partner with internal, cross-functional teams and leadership to develop and maintain communication strategies and messaging plans to meet various project needs Create, proof, and edit content for an assortment of communications including emails, newsletters, flyers, brochures, podcasts and promotional materials Collaborate with internal subject matter experts to ensure accuracy of communications and manage approvals with leadership and compliance Design communications with relevant images and references while maintaining brand identity Pull and request email and mailing distribution lists via internal systems and teams Develop emails end-to-end in email platforms including design, content implementation and list uploads, testing, and final sends Manage email undeliverable list and work with internal teams to identify solutions Create a variety of communication templates for the internal teams to distribute, as needed Partner with internal and external creative agencies to develop materials Maintain and distribute the weekly communications calendar Collaborate with analytics to define and develop metrics. Report out findings regularly to help the team measure performance success and guide future communication plans Think creatively and strategically to identify communication opportunities and recommend tactics. Keep abreast of current and emerging communication trends Collaborate with other internal communication departments to enhance how and when we deliver messages Effectively present recent and upcoming communication updates on team calls Ensure all agent communications are accurately represented and follow brand guidelinesYou''ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications: Bachelor''s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field 5+ years of writing experience and content development, preferably in the Medicare supplement industry or health care 5+ years of demonstrable experience with the development and execution of multi-faceted marketing communication campaigns Experience with Salesforce and Constant Contact Proficient with Microsoft Office applications Comfort and ability to travel in the future up-to two times a year to UHC worksites Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential job function of this role. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $90,500 to $161,600.
