Sr. Design Build Project Quality Manager

What We''re Looking ForThe time is right to join HNTBs growing Design Build (DB) Organization! We are seeking candidates for a Sr. DB Project Quality Manager, with demonstrated experience on fast-paced transportation infrastructure projects. The Quality Manager is a key member of project leadership teams, responsible for developing, and implementing HNTBs Design Build Quality Management System (QMS) and coaching project teams to adhere to its requirements and HNTBs Standards of Performance. This individual will also have reporting responsibilities to the Project Executive and collaborate with the DB Chief Engineer and Corporate Quality Officer to recommend improvements to the DB QMS and carry lessons learned from project to project.Primary Focus Will Include:In collaboration with the Design Project Manager, develop and implement a Design Quality Management Plan (DQMP) in strict accordance with contractual requirements, HNTBs Design-Build QMS, and HNTBs Standards of Performance.This role can be in the pre-award (bid phase), post-award, or post-design (construction) phase of the project and will require travel, along with co-location at project offices.Provide quality management training to HNTB project and subconsultant staff and monitor adherence by HNTB project staff and subconsultants to DQMP requirements for the production, submittal and approval of Contract Deliverables.Identify, assess, and take corrective/preventive actions to address actual and potential problem areas in design quality implementation/adherence. Lead efforts to formulate and execute recovery plans upon quality issues to achieve 4for4 delivery.Participate in monthly Project Reviews and report on project quality performance and communicate as needed on quality matters with project leadership, the Project Executive and Office, Division, DB and Corporate resources.Perform quality audits of Design-Build projects for adherence to the DQMP, Standards of Performance and contractual requirements to identify and implement opportunities for improvement.Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) to project teams and within HNTB for development of quality procedures to meet fast-paced delivery schedules while maintaining QMS requirements. Also help carry lessons learned to future DB projects.Preferred Qualifications and Skills:15 years of experience, with 7 years in a Design/Technical Quality positionExperience working on project with design fees exceeding $25MMRegistered Professional EngineerASQ Certification preferred, or willingness to achieve within 6 monthsSuccessful Design-Build delivery experience in a Design Quality Manager Role*INDWhat You''ll NeedEssential Responsibilities:In collaboration with the Project Manager (PM), develop, proactively manage the implementation, and ensure project team adherence to the design quality procedures and plan in strict accordance with contractual requirements, HNTBs Sophisticated Win Plan for DB Projects, Manual of Professional Practice (MPP) and HNTB Standards of PerformanceServe as subject matter expert to project teams in development of quality procedures and plan.
