Thinking beyond opportunity and reward, at Flowserve, we are inspired by working together to create extraordinary flow control solutions to make the world better for everyone!Role Summary:The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and executing assigned Nuclear and Commercial (Oil and Gas) related projects, consistent with the strategy of the Vernon Operation and within the resource capability of the company.The Project Manager shall advise leadership and/or business executives about the status and resource loading of assigned projects. The Project Manager will plan, direct, and ensure the successful outcome of projects utilizing the assigned project teams, as well as standards, practices, and toolsets established within the Vernon Business Operation and PMO. The position shall support the efforts of the Vernon Operation in identifying, evaluating, and developing project management methods and procedures that are efficient, effective, and meet good business practices, while maintaining compliance with Flowserve policies regarding the execution and oversight of projects.Flowserve offers competitive pay, annual bonuses, medical benefits on day 1, generous paid vacation time, paid holidays, pension plan, 401(k) and many other excellent benefits.Responsibilities & Requirements:Responsibilities:Develops roles and responsibilities, seeks out stakeholders and obtains their support for the project, negotiates for resources and motivates team members, and provides input to annual municates team objectives to ensure buy-in and understanding.Proficient in compiling, analyzing, and presenting project progress to all levels of management on both an ad hoc and routine basis.Effectively communicates complex issues clearly and succinctlyProactively documents and communicates the impact of change orders as a means of driving additional revenue/profitability/resources.Able to appropriately apply advanced tools and techniques for developing project work plans in planning PERT, Network Diagram, and Critical Chain methodologies, Earned Value.Able to effectively and pro-actively define, track, and negotiate expense and capital budgets and revisions in response to project performance.Applies tools and techniques and anticipates changes based on lessons learned. Demonstrated ability to identify project risk and develop risk register with accompanying mitigation plans.Develops and drives the appropriate contingency plans during all phases of projects.Extensive working knowledge of the quality principles, tools, and systems.Demonstrated ability in applying tools and techniques to project execution for improved project performance.Requirements:Knowledge of fundamentals of project management.Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.Excellent estimating, scheduling & budgeting skills.Ability to independently identify and resolve project issues.Proven experience in influencing and leading, risk management, and change management.Excellent presentation, oral and written communication skills, including meeting and workshop facilitation experience.Excellent team-building, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.Enthusiasm, positive energy and motivation.Proficient in project management software.Preferred Experience / Skills:Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering desired, or Industrial or Engineering degree is dustry: 3+ years in a related equipment manufacturing industry is required: Rotary equipment, etc.Project Management experience: 3+ years.Working knowledge of the Flowserve Corporation product line is a plus.Experience in the Nuclear industry and API standards is a plus.Experience with 10CFR50AppB and ASME Code QA programs a plus.Experience with mechanicalpumps is a plus.Experience reading prints and interpreting dimensional and visual inspections is a plus.Certifications: PMP is preferred.Desired Green Belt is preferred.Primary Posting Location: Vernon, California USJob Posting Category: Engineering/R&DJob Advertising Title: Project ManagerEmployment Type: Full timeCountry: United StatesAuto req ID: 56634BRbrEOE including Disability/Protected Veterans.
