Find your future with us.The Mechanical Systems Design and Analysis (MSDA) team, located in Hazelwood, MO, is seeking an Associate Mechanical System Design and Analysis Engineer. The selected candidate will be responsible for supporting and developing expertise in the maintenance, improvement, user support and training of the processes and tools used to design and analyze fuel, hydraulics, environment control, mechanical systems, and their integration with CAD, databases, and other disciplines such as control, secondary power and electrical systems. Specific MSDA processes and tools include but are not limited to AMESim, Thermal Desktop, Ansys-Fluent NX, NX Mechanical and Electrical Routing, NX Motion, other legacy tools, and the team websites and repositories. The selected candidate should have some exposure to one or more of the disciplines and tools above.Position Responsibilities Include:Assist in the evaluating, testing and deploying of new versions of softwareWork with software vendors to fix identified software issues and implement improvementsSupport users with software usage and other technical issues Coordinate though communities of practice and program focals to identify issues and improvementsDevelop, update and provide trainingAssist with the collaboration with other internal organizations and businesses units to develop new common processes, tools and training for the EnterpriseWork under general supervisionThis position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelor''s, Master''s or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry1+ years of experience with structural design or the design of mechanical sub-systems or componentsPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):1+ years of Mechanical Systems (Crew Chief, Hydraulics, Engines, Fuel, and Secondary Power) experience do you have on the F-15 or equivalent fighter aircraft1+ years of experience acting as a subject matter expert in the development, implementation and training of processes and tools1+ years of experience in process development and documentationSoftware development experience with JAVA, C++, Fortran, Python or other programming languagesUG NX experienceExperience with Perl coding / developmentTypical Education/Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years'' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master).
