Job Title: Live Hang/Bird Handler Are you looking for the following?:Physically demanding jobHot in the summerCold in the winter Lifting 40 - 45 pound birds from cage to line$20 per hour to start w/ $4.00 attendance bonus each weekFull Time Typically hours run from 4:30 a.m. until birds are through for the dayMonday through Friday and currently most Saturdays due to labor shortageJob Summary: Live Hang is responsible for removing live tom turkeys coups on a semi trailer and placing them on the line for harvesting. Job RequirementsNo previous experience is necessary.Must adhere to the WLF''s and federal law for animal handling practice.Start time is 4:30 a.m. until done.Must be able to stand on a moving platform with a maximum height of 9 feet.Must practice good personal hygiene.Ability to work in varying temperature conditions.Ability to lift up to 50 pounds including above head and below the waist.Ability to stand for long periods, including working from a platform.Must be able to work greater than 8 hours at times per day and/or overtime and weekends as needed.Candidates must successfully pass post-offer/pre-employment drug test, background screen and physical.West Liberty Foods is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
