The successful candidate must be energetic, communicative, intelligent, passionate, and motivated. This role will be a part of a large Veterans Administration support effort, coordinating with strategic customers and partners, supporting a program delivery vision. The position is fast paced on a complex, high priority project requiring both hard and soft skills and focused dedication.The ideal candidate will have the ability to influence and build strong relationships across multiple teams and with VA. Candidates must be comfortable working with junior to senior team members and multiple levels of managers and executives within Cognosante, VA, and our partners. The candidate must be an effective communicator and collaborator, and a mature and empathetic employee. This role requires a passion and commitment to supporting VA in meeting the needs of our Veterans and their families.Key Responsibilities:Be an advocate for our VA customer stakeholders and the ultimate beneficiaries of our solution - our Nations VeteransDevelop a keen understanding of program goals and requirements and develop a vision to both meet the customers current needs, and for evolution of the program to meet changing client needsCollaborate with project leadership and client stake holders to deliver the project on time, with high quality, and in alignment with the customers expectationsEnsure targets for contractual performance metrics/SLAs are met or exceeded, and provide analysis and communication to ensure appropriate focus on critical attention areasAnticipate project challenges and technical risk scenariosIdentify and execute on opportunities for process improvementsEscalate key issues and recommend solutions to project and client leadershipServe as a subject matter expert to ensure successful implementation of all the projects solutionsUnderstand and comply with Cognosantes COMPASS and SDLC methodologies and with the Agile methodology used for the projectEnsure compliance with client-driven management and development methodologies/standards including VA DevSecOps (DSO) processesDevelop and deliver internal and client-facing program reviews, status reports, performance reports and other communicationsWork with VA and Cognosante security leaders to ensure security compliance of the product and project, including supporting evidence, controls, and auditingInteract effectively and professionally with clients, stakeholders, partners, sub-contractors, and vendors recognizing you will be the face of Cognosante in many conversationsOther duties as assigned by project leadershipRequired Qualifications: 15 years of relevant experience Bachelor''s Degree (Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business or related scientific /technical discipline) 10 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education Experience with diverse IT projects both large and small Well versed in full systems development life cycle, enterprise wide network engineering, strategic information planning, business process reengineering, structure and management practices Able to identify and mitigate risks to the program, manage to cost, schedule and performanceCandidates that do not meet the required qualifications will not be considered.Additional Minimum QualificationsKnowledge of DevSecOps and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodologiesStrong ability to foster collaborative work in dynamic team environmentAbility to demonstrate solution features to stakeholders, share knowledge, and provide tool and process guidanceAble to manage multiple competing deadlinesPassionate and motivated self-starter that excels in a dynamic, fast-paced environment requiring only limited supervisionA team player and a consistent, dependable performer, with an excellent work ethic, flexible can-do attitude, and a results-driven commitment to successMust have excellent written and verbal communication, skillsStrong prioritization skills, for both individual and teamworkStrong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task, with strong delegation and follow throughStrong creative, analytical, customer service, problem solving, and trouble-shooting skillsBasic understanding of healthcare system to include patients, providers, payers, pharmacy, hospitals and their associated business processes and operationsProficiency with MS Office Suite, MS Teams, MS Project, GoToMeeting, and SharePointAvailability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends as requiredOpen to occasional travel (~10% to VA and Cognosante locations)Ability to obtain and maintain a VA Tier 2/Moderate/MBI clearanceUS CitizenPreferred Qualifications:Experience with managing scope changes and schedule changesExperience working in a CMMI-DEV or CMMI-SVC environment at Maturity Level 3 or aboveKnowledge of VAs health program and systemsExperience with JiraExperience in creating business process flows, using tools such as VisioActive VA Tier 2/Moderate/MBI clearance with access to VA systems, PIV, and GFECognosante will not provide sponsorship for employment-based immigration benefits for this position.Cognosante requires all employees regardless of position, work location or telework status to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 unless prohibited by federal, state, or local laws.
