A caregiver provides the maintenance of a safe and clean environment. Performs various housekeeping tasks, meal preparation and companionship for clients in their residences.Experienced or not - we train!!Responsibilities and DutiesIn this role, you will have the chance to perform personal care activities that assist the client with activities of daily living, which include (but are not limited to):Assisting with transferring/moving client from place to place throughout their homePerforming housekeeping activities which include (but are not limited to): vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry and cleaning the bathroomPreparing meals and snacks according to instructionsAccompanying client on errands or medical appointmentsBathing/Showering/Dressing/ShavingMedication remindersAssisting with prescribed range of motion exercisesDementia careCompanionship activities such as reading, music, puzzles, etc. Qualifications and Skills:High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate preferred.Must be able to lift/move 50 lbs without assistance Ability to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the jobPossess a valid driver''s license and current automobile insuranceHave or be able to obtain a Home Care Aide certificate, which includes a background checkWe will help you apply for the Home Care Aide certificate if you do not have oneCNA license, Home Health Aide, Home Care Aide certification preferredWe serve most of Ventura CountyRight at Home Ventura County has been proving care for adults in their homes for over 10 years.
