Requisition : TECHN003279 Job Title:Technical Writer I Location:Virginia Beach, Virginia 23461 OROrlando, FL 32826 Clearance Level:Interim Secret Required Certification(s):N/A **Selected applicantsmay be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. ** SUMMARYNaval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division Dam Neck Activity (NSWCDD DNA) is assigned the duties of systems and software engineering, development, testing, hardware engineering, site support, Life-Cycle support inclusive of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) and Configuration Management (CM) activities, fielding and maintenance support, In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA), Cybersecurity (Cyber), C6ISR (Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber-Defense and Combat Systems and Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance), Safety, Test and Evaluation (T&E), and Readiness support for assigned shore-based training systems. DUTIES* Support shore site improvements through maintenance of technical documentation specifications and standards.* Develop test reports at the conclusion of test events, documenting test results, test coverage and overall test status.* Maintain system baseline documentation, specifications, technical data package, and other data forming the configuration managed product baseline.* Review and update maintenance index pages or maintenance requirement cards, concepts, procedures, and plans.* Develop, review and update Supplemental Provisioning Technical Documents or other associated documents as required. Qualifications Education and Certifications* High School Diploma Background Needed and Years of Experience* 3+ Years Experience Additional Skills & Qualifications Non-Technical Skills* Excellent customer service skills is a must, along with verbal and written skills. Must be able to work in a collaborative team environment. Working Conditions Working Conditions* General office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time.* The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc.* Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available. Strength Demands * Sedentary - 10 lbs.
