Job Number: R0140319 Radiation-Hardened Electronics EngineerKey Role: Work with world-class scientists and engineers to shape national security investment through the development of cutting-edge technologies for military applications. Leverage technical expertise to support senior DoD decision makers with the strategic evaluation of new concepts and assessments of technological gaps in need of investment. Provide recommendations on the feasibility and potential impact of future research programs by preparing in-depth analyses, conducting background research, traveling to R&D facilities, and interfacing with the R&D community. Collaborate with government clients to track and evaluate the progress of sponsored research and communicate technical findings to a wide audience. Basic Qualifications: * 5+ years of experience in R&D on the effects of radiation on advanced solid-state electronics and hardening methods, including radiation detection * Experience in modeling and simulation, experimental design, or testing of radiation-hardened electronics * Ability to obtain a security clearance * Master''s degree in an Engineering or Science field Additional Qualifications: * Experience with radiation testing, including single-event effects and total ionizing dose, for protons, neutrons, heavy ions, gamma rays, and x-rays * Experience with the modeling and simulation of any aspect of radiation effects in electronics, including environment, device, circuit, component, or system level * Experience with hardware security and trusted electronics issues * Experience with radiation hardened electronics supply chain issues, radiation hardness assurance (RHA) processes, flight program environments and requirements, and design evaluation * Experience with semiconductor fabrication tools and processes, including in a trusted fabrication facility * Experience performing or supporting government-sponsored research activities * Top Secret clearance preferred * Doctorate degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a related field Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
