THOR Solutions is actively seeking a highly motivated Technical Executive Assistant in support of the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) for the Code 15 (Sensor and SONAR Systems) Chief Engineer, providing technical and administrative service support. The candidate''s responsibilities may include (but are not limited to) performing or supporting the following actions: * Provide input and editing to technical documents including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and System Safety documentation.* Track workflows and documentation status through JIRA project management software.* Work in a fast-paced, team-oriented, service-oriented environment.* Conduct research and provide recommendations to the Chief Engineer in support of ongoing efforts.* Prepare for and conduct compliance audits in accordance with appropriate NUWC procedures.* Develop, implement, and communicate Process controls.* Meet daily with the Chief Engineer to manage tasking requirements and evolving priorities.* Provide administrative support for the Chief Engineer and their direct support personnel such as: training tracking, scheduling, reserving assets, recording meeting minutes and action items, and writing/distributing memos.* Create, review, and update Department-level communications, ensuring accuracy and clarity.* Prepare and distribute electronic and physical documentation (e.g., emails, memos, meeting binders & other briefing materials).Worksite: * This position will work primarily onsite at NUWC Newport in Middletown, RI.Travel: * No travel is anticipated for this position.Security Clearance Requirements: * Must possess an active or interim SECRET security clearance, and maintain it for the duration of employment.Required Education, Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: * High school diploma or GED equivalent.* An ideal candidate will possess an Associate''s Degree or above in a relevant discipline.* At least two (2) years of relevant professional experience with administrative and technical support obtained in a US Navy/DoD environment.* An ideal candidate will have at least five (5) years of relevant experience.* Preferred relevant experience includes familiarity with US Navy operations and terminology, especially in relation to NUWC.* Possesses strong oral and written (email) communication skills.* Exhibits a high attention to detail and be able to review documents in a timely manner.* Able to track and coordinate multiple simultaneous activities.* Demonstrates expertise with current versions of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.* An ideal candidate will have familiarity with JIRA project management software.* An ideal candidate will have familiarity with auditing and process control.Typical Physical Activity: * Essential functions typically include (but are not limited to): typing, hearing, talking, and vision.THOR Solutions, LLC is proud to be an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer.
