We are open to supporting 100% remote work anywhere within the U.S. ICFs Digital Modernization division is a rapidly growing, entrepreneurial, technology department, seeking a Principal Full Stack Developer to support upcoming needs with our federal customers.Our Digital Modernization division is an information technology and management consulting department that offers integrated, strategic solutions to its public and private-sector clients. ICF has the expertise, agility, and commitment to design, build, and operate high-performance IT engines to support all aspects of our clients business.The development lead will manage the full lifecycle of development for modifications to large, complex, mission critical enterprise applications, develop and enforce coding standards and best practices, collaborate with a 46-person development team, and follow solutions as they are developed through production deployment, while helping to mentor other developers.The WorkYou will be part of an established team supporting our General Services Administration (GSA) client in Washington, DC. The ICF team at GSA performs custom software development to modernize the legacy platform into a cloud platform using modular design standards. The team works closely with clients and other contractors to ensure the performance and reliability of the Integrated Award Environment (IAE) public-facing, mission-critical applications.Key ResponsibilitiesParticipate in the full software development life cycle (design, development, testing, deployment, and documentation)Provide technical leadership to teammates through coaching, mentoring, and pair programmingManage delivery of multiple simultaneous development projects from design through deploymentWork closely with scrum master and project manager to report and manage any technical issues and risksEnsure high standards of code quality by enforcing adherence to best practicesLead the design and architecture of new applicationsParticipate in scrum ceremonies and provide feedback on user stories/acceptance criteria, story point estimates and sprint planningPeer review team members development and share constructive criticismLearn and adopt new technologies in a short period of time as requiredDevelop solutions for complex problems as requiredCoordinate with other development teams and contractors to work on program-level initiatives, resolve issues and dependenciesCommunicate with the customer to provide progress status updates and propose technical solutionsRequired Skills and ExperienceFront End8+ years of experience as a full-stack Java developer, 3+ in Angular1+ years of experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, AJAX1+ years of experience and solid understanding of HTTP protocols and REST API1+ years of knowledge of browser troubleshooting and debugging practices and techniques1+ years of experience with responsive and adaptive design1+ years of experience with angular unit testingBack End3+ years of Java expertise1+ years of experience with the Spring Framework and Spring Boot1+ years of experience with Hibernate or some other ORM; ODBC, JDBC1+ years of experience with Maven1+ years of experience with unit testing with JUnit or similar framework1+ years of knowledge of common data structures and algorithm Infrastructure/Process1+ years of experience with Git and branching/merging techniques1+ years of experience with CI/CD frameworks and tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo, Bitbucket1+ years of experience with unit testing via JUnit or similar framework US Citizenship or Green card required (required by federal government for this position).Must be able to obtain Public Trust clearance.
