Project Manager IIILos Angeles, CA (100% remote)6 months contractJob ID 2022-6837Solugenix is assisting a client, a health insurance company, in their search for a Project Manager III. This is a 6-month contract opportunity based out of Los Angeles, CA.The enterprise Portfolio Management Office (ePMO) is accountable for intake, execution, and managing the oversight of strategic programs and projects approved and budgeted by client Leadership and the Board of Governors. These programs and projects span multiple functions and departments and are enterprise investments in infrastructure and process excellence. Qualifications:Bachelors Degree Experience can be considered if no degree.At least 5-7 years of experience in Project Management within a Managed Care Organization or Top 10 management consulting role in Healthcare industry. Experience facilitating complex decision making among multiple executive stakeholders with different interests and priorities. Experience in managing, motivating, mentoring staff and conflict resolution. Knowledge of managed care health insurance industry with preference given to applicants with strong experience in Medicaid and Medicare managed care. Demonstrated success managing medium to large scale, diverse and complex projects executing simultaneously. Ability to work well independently or leading a project team/effort with limited supervision, strong team collaboration. Ability to manage priorities across multiple teams/projects, platforms. Well versed in project management processes supporting project deliverables to facilitate the creation of standard project documents and artifacts. Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills. Strong facilitation and mentoring skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations. Possesses excellent time management and organizational skills. Ability to manage priorities across multiple teams/projects, possesses ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment. Ability to work well independently. Proven ability to work collaboratively with business and technology communities to accomplish expected committed project outcomes. Proven ability to understand healthcare technology architecture and application landscape by functional area. Proven ability to apply an enterprise project management methodology and framework (i.e., PACE). Ability to engage all project stakeholders and work teams within clients established delivery methodology framework (PACE).Responsibilities:The portfolio, program, and project management resources within the ePMO are uniquely positioned to support business units in the planning and delivery of large-scale programs and projects. Leads and manages a portfolio of large complex projects. Develops, manages, and maintains the project plan, schedule, resources, and project artifacts (what, why, how, when how much) supports centralized document repository.Identifies and tracks risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies.Provides timely status reports and proactively escalates issues for resolution.Performs project reviews and drives continued progress for project success. Develops strategies for achieving project goals and realigns strategies to account for unforeseen challenges. Monitors best practices in field of expertise, assess and adopt them to increase productivity, managing change and resolving issues that span project teams, departments and able to manage large scale, diverse and complex projects executing simultaneously. Leads others to successfully complete project deliverables on time, within scope and on budget by ensuring that all project execution toll-gates required by PACE are followed. Optimizes project governance by working with the over-arching infrastructure, processes, and procedures to accomplish objectives including establishing metrics of success and deliverables. Provides coaching and guidance to the team members to ensure understanding of project assignments, priorities, and deadlines. Serves as a subject matter knowledgeable leader in multiple business operational/functional areas. Responsible for scheduling, cost tracking/budget, resource management allocation and utilization, project component integration and supporting program performance. Manage multiple complex projects to achieve continuous alignment with the organizations strategic plans and objectives.Responsible for holding project work teams accountable for on-time delivery of assigned scope within baselined schedule, and costs/effort. Responsible for appropriate change management practice in partnership with stakeholders and delivery work teams to accurately and timely reflect project change controls and process timely within clients governance framework. Ensures executive summaries are submitted to the Leadership Team for review and approval in an accurate and timely manner. Upon Leadership approval, manages the creation of definitive project execution plans.
