Express Employment Professionals are looking for Set-Up Machines for a Medical Supply Company located in the Buffalo, NY area!Shift: 2ndPay Rate: $18.00-21.00/hr Job SummaryThis position will assist with setups, , and adjustments to injection molding machines.Job Duties Make minor adjustments to machines within qualified parameters.Load specific materials onto automated equipment.Assist Set up mechanics with new set up development.Assemble new equipment or help decommission old equipment.Start up and shut down equipment as needed.Replace worn components as neededImpactSet-up and daily monitoring of molding machines and equipment to ensure continuous municates with Manager, Plant Engineering to gain approval/escalate necessary changes for plant maintenance. Safety ResponsibilitiesFollowing all rules, regulations and procedures set forth in the safety manual.Promoting safety awareness throughout the workplace.Alerting supervisors to any safety hazards they discover.Wearing appropriate, proper protective equipment whenever required.Using guards on tools and machinery whenever required.Following proper lifting techniques using legs and not the back.Operating any vehicles, equipment, tools or machines only if they are authorized to do so.Reporting any injury or loss immediately to the supervisor/team lead.Promoting a positive attitude about safety and never performing any unsafe practice that could place the employee or others in danger.Providing information to his/her immediate supervisor if a better and safer procedure can be implemented in performing any operation.Analysis/Problem SolvingAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. CommunicationAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. Skills/Technical SkillsBasic Computer skills necessary to access data or complete work orders.Basic understanding of standard hand tools.Understanding of molding, hydraulics, and basic electrical.Ability to work any shift including 2nd and 3rd shifts.KnowledgeUnderstands regulated type industries a plus.Knowledge of medical device manufacturer and supplies knowledge a plus.World-class manufacturing knowledge a plus.Education:Associates degree preferred.Experience:Two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
