GENERAL PURPOSEExecute the Project consistent with published objectives and guidelines, Company principles, and the interests of all shareholders; to direct, manage, and motivate the Project Management Team (PMT) and to perform the following duties and responsibilities, including, but not necessarily limited to :Administer the terms and conditions of contracts awarded to perform various project execution activities, including detailed engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC)Monitor, appraise, and verify contractor performance in order to meet project objectives for safety, cost, schedule, quality, and other contractual obligationsProvide facilities suitable for their intended purpose and in compliance with legal, regulatory, and Company performance criteriaPrepare and issue periodic and interim reports in compliance with Company procedures and expectations.ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe principle function of the Project Manager is to direct, manage and provide leadership to the Project Team to ensure venture success.Project Managers are responsible for overall project planning, scheduling and financial direction of their respective Contract Work Package.The Project Manager will deal with project issues, solutions, complexities, and difficulties throughout the life span of the Project to which they are assigned, associated with safety, cost, schedule, and quality concerns that have a major influence on venture success.Provide leadership and motivation for their Project Team to support Company objectives, including project management guidance and procedures; to instill a sense of momentum during all phases of the project, and to improve productivity so as to attain schedule anize the PMT to ensure that they are staffed with the best available personnel.Make administrative and business decisions in the best interests of the Company and its shareholders.Ensure facilities meet all specified requirements in accordance with Company''s published requirements.Manage the process and non-process appraisal of contractor engineering, procurement, construction and pre-commissioning performance on all contracts during execution of the Facilities Project Contract Work Packages assigned, and to confirm compliance with contract plete/meet, within the specified time, at optimum cost - within budgeted funds, all required design and construction requirements, to provide economic and safe facilities, and ensure that construction and pre-commissioning work is performed in a safe and efficient manner.Establish the basis for the project execution phase and to prepare the Project Execution Plan,Interpret the contractual requirements to contractors, and appraise all facets of contractor performance and to obtain corrective action as needed,Represent Company interest is all aspects of project execution, to make business and administrative decisions in the name of Company''s within prescribed grants of authority limitsKeep management informed, and to successfully lead/communicate Company Senior and Executive Leadership/Management directions to the Project TeamBe thoroughly familiar with philosophy and business consideration (e.g., budget, appropriation, contingency, rate of return, sales contracts, etc.) so as to effectively manage the Project to which they are assigned.Be familiar with the technical planning and design considerations for the Project Facilities and to understand the fundamental functions of the various facilities that will be built, in order to effectively manage the Project.Provide periodic progress reports and interim reports to Company ManagementEnsure that the PMT complies with applicable Laws, Regulations and Company business practices, especially business ethics and conflict of interest in business dealings to maintain Company''s image internationally.Control/coordinate the efforts of all Project Team members and project support organizations so that the entire investment program is joined together as an integral whole;Act as a formal channel of information to Company and shareholder management;Organize and staff all project execution positions; and to ensure that project management and project execution procedures are developed, implemented and updated regularly.Ensure that the project area to which they are assigned is executed according to Company goals, including safety, cost, schedule, quality, regulatory requirements, Responsible Care, and total quality management.Keep shareholders and Company officers, directors and managers informed of all material aspects of project execution performance and significant developments.Ensure that project participants develop procedures and execute their projects in keeping with required Company standards, specifications, policies, practices and proceduresSpecific Project Manager Duties and ResponsibilitiesOrganizational StructureIt is the responsibility of the Project Manager to evaluate all relevant factors and determine the organizational structure(s) that will work best for the Project. Inherent in all considerations regarding organizational structure must be the realization that the selection of properly skilled people will contribute more to the project''s success than the choice of a particular project organizational structure.Role Of The Project Manager''Provide an environment where other team members can work efficiently and effectively.''The Project Manager is responsible for planning, directing, overseeing, controlling and reporting the execution of their assigned Project/Work Package. The goal is to complete the project on schedule and within the approved budget, while meeting other established project goals and objectives including operability, quality, safety, health and environmental requirements.
