This position is located in Washington DC, or Bath, Maine. Partial Remote in Washington DC, or Bath, Maine preferred with 2-3 days per week in the office. Full remote will be considered Position Summary: The qualified applicant will have active input with the following tasking. Maintain existing DDG 51 Shipbuilding Program Configuration Management Plans, manage ship configuration baselines and the change management process throughout ship design, develop program briefs and status reports. Applicants will interface daily with the Navy customer and other program participants. Flexibility and ability to work several projects at one time, strong written communication, interpersonal, problem solving, analytical and organizational skills are all required. Responsibilities: * Provide support to PMS 400D Shipbuilding Program office in the execution of program and project configuration management and in accordance with contract requirements.* Provide shipboard systems Configuration Management (CM), to include acquisition and operational sustainment* Provide CM support for all Configuration Control Board (CCB) activities.* Development of CCB agendas and minutes* Recording and tracking of action items* Review pricing packages* Review proposed changes* Assist in the configuration-controlled documentation implementation process.* Develop and maintain Shipbuilding Program CM Plans. Manage ship configuration baselines and the change management process throughout ship design.* Develop program briefs and status reports.Qualifications: * Requires a bachelor''s degree AND/OR;* 4-8 years of experience with US Navy ships and shipboard systems in configuration management, acquisition, operation, lifecycle sustainment.* Experience evaluating and processing ship design changes.* Knowledge of the DoD acquisition process, including regulations, directives, and statutes, the Navys application of the DoD acquisition process.* Must be familiar with NAVSEA and industry standards and best practices for managing shipboard configuration.* Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.* U.S Citizenship requiredSecurity Requirements: Applicant will be subject to a security investigation and must meet the eligibility requirements to obtain and maintain a security clearance issued by the US Government.
