Job Title: Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO)Job Description: The ISSO role initiates and supports the development and maintenance of Risk Management Framework system authorization packages in support of the Assessment & Authorization process through collaboration with, government personnel, NSSPlus team members, and contractors. This role works under the direction of USAGM''s Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) Job duties include:• Leading internal IT security staff with the update of IT Security Program policy and procedures• Assisting IT security staff with the development of ISSO training guides reflecting new IT policy• Creating FISMA documentation as defined in NIST 800-53 rev.4 or later and NIST 800-37,• Conducting independent Security Test & Evaluation (ST&E) and produce Security Assessment Reports (SARs) under the direction of the CISO• Directing and assisting internal IT security staff to evaluate the risk of any SAR findings stemming from the ST&E effort and summarize them into a Plan of Action and Milestone (POA&M) tracking documentation under the direction of the CISO• Collaborative efforts with various government personnel to include but not limited to Security Control Assessors (SCA), SCA Representatives, ISSMs, ISSOs, Team Leads, ISSEs, and Program Managers• Perform system authorization package updates in XACTA in support of successful authorization• Development of DHA RMF SOPs/Guides/Templates/Training Presentations/Guidance• Development of policies and procedures via SOPs, Guides, and Templates• Maintains RMF Assessment and Authorization (A&A) SOP/Guides/Templates/Guidance• Development of various presentations for RMF stakeholders• Develop and deliver training to government personnel on the RMF process• Evaluate and assess A&A documents compliance with established CS policies and regulations• Provide guidance to the SCAs, Team Leads, Engineers, and Security Analyst upon request• Post guidance within the Recent Notices and Guidance Section on the RMF Portal (SharePoint)• Timely submittal of Weekly DeliverablesTechnical Experience: Minimum 5 to 10 years'' experience working in Cybersecurity, emphasis on Assessment and Authorization. Risk Management Framework experience of at least two year required. Work Location: Currently work from home. The government has stated they plan for contractors to come to the office once a week but have not set a schedule. Washington D.C. Security Clearance Requirements: Secret Certification Requirements: DoD 8570 qualifying certification IAM II. Viable candidates may have 6 months to get to an IAM II certification with an existing IAM certification at date of start. Competitive salary and benefits.
