OverviewSt. Lukes Health System in Boise is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Pediatric Clinical Oncology team.*SIGN-ON BONUS FOR NEW HIRES* Position SummaryThe St Lukes Children''s Cancer Institute is seeking an RN to join our team! The position will be providing hands on nursing care for Idahos Pediatric Oncology population by administering high-risk medications such as chemotherapy and immunotherapy in the chemotherapy infusion center. As a Float RN the position will require critical thinking and assessment skills taking triage calls for pediatric and radiation oncology patients. The triage RN will offer care coordination for add-on patients, outpatient lab results and medication management. The RN is the keystone to the complex, high quality, compassionate care our have come to expect of our organization.This position is part-time. The Childrens Cancer Institute is closed on weekends and St. Lukes recognized holidays. We look forward to meeting you!ResponsibilitiesIdentifies patient needs and determines priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluationDevelops, implements and coordinates individualized plan of care for patients assigned through initial and on-going assessmentsInitiates assessment based on the patient''s problems or needs, the physician''s medical diagnosis, and the functional health frameworkPerforms therapeutic nursing interventionsManages care of patientsDocuments care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and/or clinical prioritiesAdvocates for evidence-based practice care standards and supports adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care deliveryProvides patient centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice modelOther duties and responsibilities as assignedQualificationsEducation: Bachelor of Nursing DegreeExperience: Two (2) + years RN experienceLicenses/Certifications: Current RN licensure from the State of PracticePediatric oncology experience preferred Please note* This Registered Nurse position is for nurses with One (1) + years of RN experience.
