Maintenance/Facilities Technician Orangeburg, SC, USA Req 16282 Monday, August 22, 2022 The Times and Democrat is seeking an experienced Maintenance/Facilities Technician.This position is responsible for performing daily facility maintenance and custodial duties. Light mechanical skills are required. The ideal candidate will be able to multi-task, obtain a forklift license, and work closely with other employees and departments.Duties and Responsibilities:Drive a forklift to load/unload freight and fill out proper paperworkUse a clamp forklift to unload newsprint from delivery trucksProvide maintenance/custodial coverage for company grounds and interior office and restroom areasQualifications/Skills/Abilities:Ability to lift up to 50 poundsBasic experience in janitorial maintenance proceduresAbility to follow all safety rules and proceduresAbility to interact positively with other employees and departmentsThe Times and Democrat is a division of Lee Enterprises, a leading provider of local news, information and advertising, serving 77 markets in 26 states.
