Express Employment Professionals are seeking Assemblers for a company that specializes in serving the scrap metal recycling industry the last 40 years.1st Shift: 7am - 3:30pmPayrate: $22.00/hrSUMMARY: The Assembler uses a variety of hand & power tools, fixtures and work instructions to assemble Wendt products. These products include but are not limited to conveyors, magstands, tumble back feeders, trommels, finders, creep feeders, and rotors.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:1. Prepare work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gather parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.2. Position parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.3. Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.4. Verify specifications by testing the functionalities of the products.5. Resolve assembly problems; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources.6. Keep equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements including, daily cleaning; following manufacturer''''s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.7. Drilling and tapping of mounting holes when required.8. Utilize overhead cranes and jib cranes for component assembly.9. Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.10. Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.11. Document actions by completing production and quality forms.12. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.13. Suggest alternative methods and procedures to ease production.14. Pass knowledge freely to associates.15. Keep notes and assist Foreman with writing detailed work instructions.16. Perform other duties as requested by your supervisor.QUALIFICATIONSEducation and Experience:• High school degree or equivalent• 1-2 years related experience• Basic computer skills• Electrical experience wiring motors and basic troubleshooting is a plus• Experience driving fork trucks and using overhead cranes is a plusKnowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs):• Strong skills in reading and interpreting plans, blueprints, and specifications.• Thorough knowledge about assembly methods and procedures to do the job.• Knowledge about safety precautions and process while working.• Attention to details and ability to understand and follow procedures.• Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers.• Problem solving - Ability to identify problems and the solutions to them.• Strong math skillsInterested and qualified applicants please submit resumes for immediate consideration.
