This role will focus on designing, developing, and implementing new or revised production processes for the efficient/economical production of goods. This position has a global focus and will interact with several internal functions, including: Sales, Technical and Product Development, Supply Chain, Operations and Finance.What you need to succeed in this role:Technical understanding of specialty chemical processes and unit operations including reactors and distillation.Technical understanding of oleochemical and fatty acid chemistryDesign and validate equipment/process capabilities and specifications for capital projectsLead commissioning activities for capital improvement projectsCreate technical memos and reports as needed to document findings and recommendations of projects and trialsProficiency in evaluating manufacturing capability and strategy for optimizing short- and long-term business strategy.Support and lead teams across a diverse cross function of technical and business contributors including working on capital projects across all site locationsDrive growth and innovationIdentify, investigate and develop opportunities that align with long term growth objectives.Evaluate existing assets and resources to align with commercial driven demandEvaluate new technologies and chemistries that align with business strategyEvaluate alternative feed stocks and pretreatment technology/processes that align with existing resources or supplement existing resourcesThe ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and use problem solving tools.Experience with statistical analysis tools and techniquesPreferred TraitsCross-functional relationship skills.Resilient, resourceful, optimistic and energetic.Strong listening, technical learning ability and dot nate curiosity.Self-starting.Create and execute strategic initiatives.Excellent communication and presentation skills.QualificationsBS degree in Chemical Engineering or related disciplineMinimum 5 years of experience in chemical manufacturing, research or product development or PhD in Chemical Engineering in lieu of experiencePreferable experience with oleochemical, fatty acid/glycerol processing in a manufacturing and/or R&D environment.This position is eligible for relocation assistance.This role is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship.
