This position supports the Executive Office of the U.S. Attorneys and System Managers at U.S. Attorneys'' Offices in the Western District of Texas. The purpose of this effort is to deliver many of the high-level technical services needed to maintain the technology deployed in EOUSA and USAOs. This position is contingent upon award. Location San Antonio, TX (on-site) Clearance Requirements * Active Top SecretEssential Role and Responsibilities * The IT Specialist shall provide equipment management and accountability support functions for the district. These tasks include the installation, removal, and relocation of personal computers, printers, software, and similar devices in response to equipment failure, user needs, or other purposes.* Conduct annual physical inventory of equipment and software and provide a report as requested with established timeframes. They will maintain an accurate accountability of all IT equipment, ensuring all equipment is properly secured.* Assist the office with the Personal Identification Verification (PIV) program and the issuance and maintenance of access tokens.* Serve as a registrar for the PIV program, to include ensuring appropriate documentation is presented and biometric data is collected for individuals being registered in the HSPD-12 system. * Scans and validates identity sources, and verifies and updates data. * Completes activation, updates, pin resets, reissuance of PIVs on lost, stolen, and expired certificates, and other necessary actions related to the program.Qualifications Education * Bachelor''s degree preferredExperience * 2+ years of experience in System Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Hardware/Software support, Web Development, Customer Support, and interaction with vendors. * Must possess detailed knowledge of networks, servers and desktop applications.* Experienced with software and hardware troubleshooting techniques.* Experience supporting the hardware and software associated with Intel class of systems. * Understanding of and experience supporting peripherals, such as printers, scanners, and backup devices, along with the drivers associated with this equipment.* Knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office products (i.e., Word, Excel, Access, SharePoint, Outlook, and PowerPoint)* Knowledge of various Apple hardware (i.e., iPhone, iPad).* Knowledge of various applications such as:* Windows 10* VMWare* Microsoft Office, including MS Outlook* Acrobat (Adobe)* McAfee* WinZip* CommVault* AcrobatCertification * N/A
