Apprentice Cartographic Analyst with Security Clearance

Prescient Edge is actively pursuing Cartographic Analysts, the selected candidate must be knowledgeable on how to acquire, analyze, compile, and disseminate maritime safety information and intelligence to populate and update nautical databases to support the production programs of Digital Nautical Charts (DNC) and Electronic Navigation Charts (ENC). Work includes referencing source material to update publications, updating and/or writing new entries, submitting work through the QA/QC process, and meeting deadlines. Attention to detail is critical. Candidate must have knowledge and familiarity with Notice to Mariners (NtM). * Experience in geography, cartography and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) which includes skill in ArcGIS applications. * Experience in creating shapefiles, geo-databases, and features. * Knowledge of digital cartography, image processing, geographical information systems (GIS), geospatial production techniques and NGA digital data formats. * Ability to utilize geographic names information from the GNDB. * Ability to analyze imagery and non-imagery source information for application to NGA hydrographic products and databases. * Generate corrections for electronic and paper nautical charts and publications.
