This would be a senior-level (individual contributor) professional who wants to be part of this mission. This role will offer you the following daily challenges: This position is an exciting opportunity for you to be a part of new efforts in the Strategic and Missile Defense line of business. You will serve as a Lead for Subcontract Management Teams (SCMT) for critical subcontractor efforts within the SMD Line of Business. Responsibilities will include: • Driving all aspects of major subcontract execution (cost, schedule, technical, quality) and full integration of the subcontract work scope within the program, e.g. proposals, negotiations, contract execution, etc.• Seamless integration of Subcontracts, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Planning organizations. • Work closely with the Subcontract Manager (SCM) and SCA teams• Serve as the main focal point to the subcontractor and accountable to the Program Manager and Supply Chain leadership• As Lockheed Martin and Program Management interface with the supplier, you will need to be able to critically analyze a diverse set of issues, and communicate effectively to Customer, LM, and Supplier executive leadership. • Frequent travel to major subcontractor sites is anticipated (10% - 15%).Basic Qualifications:To be successful, you need to possess these basic qualifications: • Bachelor''s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 6 years of professional experience; or 4 years of professional experience with a related Masters''s degree. • Must have prior professional experience in the support of both Development and Production prime contracts including proposals.• Must have prior professional experience in establishing scope of work and writing technical or non-technical documentation (e.g. Specifications, Statements of Work, Contracts/Subcontracts, Supplier Deliverables).• Must have prior professional experience in supporting all subcontract types (cost reimbursable, fixed price), negotiations, terms and conditions, incentive arrangements, order placement.• Must have prior professional experience Strong supplier management with a focus on mission success. • PLEASE NOTE: You will need to be a US Citizen, and currently possess and maintain a US DoD SECRET clearance, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.Desired Skills:To be successful, ideally, you should have: • Highly Prefer at least three years of current experience working Missile Defense Agency programs• Familiarity with data analytics and associated tools such as Tableau or equivalent• Working knowledge of FAR • Control Account Management• Program Management training• Experience transitioning products from development to production• Proven exceptional strategic communication skills, both written, verbal, and presentation, to effectively communicate business cases to all levels of peers, suppliers, as well as program and executive management, with an ability to persuade and motivate action. • PLEASE NOTE-Other important information: • By applying to this job, you are expressing interest in this position and could be considered for other career opportunities, within Lockheed Martin, where similar skills and requirements have been identified as a match. • Should this match be identified you may be contacted for this and future openings. • Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
