Service CenterPT-ADAS VirginiaJob Summary Protech On-site Calibration Technicians are responsible for completing a wide range of Advanced Driver Assistance System Calibrations by following OE specifications and repair standards. Initial training is provided by Protech as well as a robust virtual support team and continuing education on new vehicle technology. This position is mobile, based out of a Protech Calibration Unit van. Roles & Responsibilities Customer service focused, ability to develop relationships and deliver operational consistencyPerform static and dynamic ADAS Calibrations on foreign, domestic and EV (electric) vehicles onsite at customer locationsTroubleshoot complex calibration repairsTest drive vehicles after repairs are completedAdequately explain ADAS calibration specifications and repair planning needs; to include collision repair center personnel, insurance adjusters, and direct customersBasic knowledge of how to remove and install vehicle parts - Example: Bumper, trim panels, mirrorsComplete pre and post scans with OE and/or aftermarket tools, communicate outcome effectivelyAfter training completion, must be able to complete static and dynamic calibrations per OE specificationsCommunicate with field team to ensure efficiency and productivityResponsible for ensuring tooling software updates are completed immediatelyAccountable for assigned inventory (including vehicles, mobile devices, laptops, OE scan tools, VCI, other equipment provided)Participate in virtual (online) training sessionsComplete assigned training and certificationsDevelop and maintain excellent customer relationships through our company purpose and core valuesMaintain a well-organized work areaQualifications, Education & Experience: 1-year automotive repair experience preferred but not requiredAutomotive repair experience preferred but not requiredTrade school experience a plusASE or I-CAR certifications a plusAbility to learn and understand collision repair processes and terminologySuccessfully complete Protech ADAS Calibration TrainingUnderstanding of technology & basic software programsAbility to learn Aftermarket and OEM diagnostic scan tools and factory softwareKnowledge and ability to use computers, mobile devices, and related technology efficientlyTravel may be required for continuing education and certification trainingSelf -motivated, positive attitude, with a customer focused visionRequirements: Must be at least 21 years of ageMust have a valid driver''s license and ability to pass MVR checkAbility to pass a background checkMust be able to lift 60 pounds independentlyTravel may be required for continuing education and certification trainingRequires standing for extended periods of time with frequent stretching, reaching, walking, and stoopingRequires frequent driving of company and customer vehiclesExtensive travel within assigned area is expectedMay have exposure to fumes, dust, and chemicalsAbility to work in a shop environment in inclement weatherRequired to wear PPE to include but not limited to facial covering, eye protection, gloves PIQ4
