Learn to Code with LaunchCode! LaunchCode, in partnership with Cortex, is executing a FREE course to train 40-50 transitioning military personnel and veterans with security clearances in computer programming in a 18-week full-time virtual class. The training includes 14-week LaunchCode''s flagship web development curriculum and 4-week DevOps fundamentals. Graduates of the online course will have the opportunity to enter LaunchCode''s apprenticeship programs and find a tech career with one of our company partners. Coding experience and a traditional tech background are NOT required! We are looking for collaborative, innovative individuals who are willing to work hard and learn the necessary skills. Students in the class will learn in-demand skills including JavaScript, Java, Python and AWS. The class will run full-time (9am-5pm) from October 31 2022 to March 31 2023. This course is completely free and SkillBridge/CSP-eligible, so transitioning military personnel can continue to receive their military compensation and benefits during the course. If applicable, we will work with you to complete materials required for the SkillBridge program. Veterans who are not currently transitioning are welcome, but will not get paid during the training course. At LaunchCode, we believe the most important attributes of successful developers are passion, drive, and aptitude to succeed. You don''t need to have previous coding experience to apply. We are looking for veterans and transitioning military personnel with active security clearances, who love technology, problem solving and want to create a better future through starting a tech career. Application Process 1. Application is open between 7/18 and 9/12. Fill in the online application right here as soon as you can!2. You will receive a link to a problem solving assessment upon submitting the application. Please complete the assessment before the application closes on 9/12. This assessment is required. 3. Selected applicants will be invited to have a 30-minute interview with a LaunchCode team member. 4. You will receive your admissions decision by the end of 10/17. Please do not inquire about your application status unless you have not heard back after 10/17.5. You will need to complete some pre-work to confirm your interest in the class and secure your seat.6. Class will start on 10/31 and end on 3/31. You will be attending the class Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm.
