Summary: The Senior Engineer shall provide expertise in the areas of Systems Engineering Lifecycle (SELC) process and shipboard systems integration support for a myriad of electronic navigation systems and sensors. Goldbelt Falcon is seeking a Senior Engineer. Essential Job Functions: Manage, coordinate, supervise, support, or perform project and technical writing activities related to all aspects of an engineering project. May provide support in the areas of leadership, development or overseeing development of, systems requirements, design, documentation, algorithms, software implementation, hardware layout, integration, installation, analysis, and peripheral interfaces. Generates, or oversees generation of, test and evaluation plans, and executes those plans when necessary. Exercises independent judgment, as well as a high level of analytical skill, in solving complex and unusual technical, administrative, and managerial problems. These services support the U.S. Coast Guard''s over-arching life-cycle requirement for C4IT systems aboard all Coast Guard cutters and boats. Develop and deliver Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) or Government Off-the-Shelf (GOTS) integration and engineering design solutions. Develop and deliver engineering lifecycle related artifacts and activities in support of applicable systems. Conduct hardware and software light off, testing, evaluation, and resolve system issues as required. Provide technical guidance and oversight to Installation Activities (IA) during system testing, prototype, and/or production events. Provide on-site, phone, and email support for the purpose of technical corrective maintenance to resolve system casualties. Necessary Skills and Knowledge: Expert knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of applications to draft reports, emails, and presentations, create system architecture and integration diagrams, and possess a thorough knowledge of performing independent research. SME level System Sustainment and System Development support throughout the lifecycle of multiple electronic navigation systems and sensors. Applied knowledge of the DHS/USCG Systems Engineering Lifecycle (SELC) process or similar engineering process. Lifecycle risk identification and mitigation strategies. Expert level knowledge of shipboard electronic system installation and integration process and applicable Government standards. Expert level knowledge of troubleshooting and corrective maintenance involving complex electronic navigation systems. Experience: 15 plus years of experience working with C4IT/C4ISR Systems. USCG/DOD Standards Experience: 15 years of commercial experience in shipboard electronic systems installation, troubleshooting and/or repair, including shipboard and shore station support. Minimum Qualification: Demonstrated Subject Matter Expert (SME) equates to four (4) years'' experience, including both shipboard and shore station, with four (4) of the following equipment/systems/programs or like systems: Automatic Direction Finder (ADF), Doppler Speed Log (DSL), EAIS, ECDIS, Electronic Chart System (ECS), VEGA, Electronic Navigation System (ENS), and Scalable Integrated Navigation System (SINS), and their integration with Machinery Plant Control and Monitoring Systems (MPCMS), Dynamic Positioning Systems (DPS), Automatic Identification System (AIS), and Track Controller/Autopilot systems. Must have an active Secret Security Clearance CONUS and OCONUS Travel required Possess at least one year of experience in office and industrial/shipboard work environments Preferred Qualifications: USCG experience desired but not required. A four-year Baccalaureate Degree in the field of Systems, Electrical or Industrial Engineering, or completion of USCG or DOD Technical Schools preferred.
