Assist in maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for students, staff and visitors by replacing, repairing, modifying, and calibrating existing and new HVAC systems. Reset controls to Energy Management System assuring proper schedules are in place. Click on the Career Worklet and access the internal site.Major Duties and Responsibilities:MAJOR DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:Essential: 30% 1. Operate, maintain and repair of heating, ventilation, chilled water, and air-conditioning systems on the Regis Lowell Campus. Included are the maintenance, preventative maintenance and repair of pumps, motors, furnaces, chiller and chiller components, cooling towers, steam and chiller water coil air handlers, exhaust fans, supply air fans VAV systems, and refrigerated DX cooling systems. Repairs and preventative maintenance are accomplished through established schedules and the work order process.25% 2. Assist in maintaining and repairing of steam and hot water boiler systems, to include storage tanks, pumps, boilers, valves, fan coil units, and furnaces. In the absence of Energy Manager, ensure EMS controls are within parameters. Trouble shoot and upload new control data. Upgrade EMS system to assure system stays within designed parameters.20% 3. Primary technician in monitoring all HVAC equipment through existing Direct Digital control systems. Make necessary adjustment to temperature controls as required. Make repairs, modifications and improvements to the DDC control system components. Interact with control contractors assuring systems are installed and commissioned properly. Must attend certification class in order to maintain knowledge base of electronic control systems.5% 4. Carry Emergency Pager / Phone on routine cyclical basis and perform call-back duties.10% 5. Have knowledge and abilities to work with electrician, plumber, and other trades people as it applies to job duties. Assists other trades as needed and perform associated general maintenance duties as schedule mandates.5% 6. Perform all necessary paperwork and documentation to include service reports, work order completions, purchase requisitions, and inventory.5% 7. Assist in snow removal activities when called upon. Work around machinery with numerous working parts, other times with oil/grease.Other Requirements:Must show proof of Hepatitis B inoculations or receive inoculations provided by Regis.It is an essential requirement of this position to have and maintain a valid Colorado Driver''s License as well as maintain insurability through the University funded insurance carrier by maintaining an excellent driving record.
