Responsibilities The Echo Tech is responsible for processing and performing Cardiac and/or Vascular ultrasounds on in and out patients; and maintaining the quality of the lab. The technician/technologist shall assure that all equipment is properly maintained, calibrated and appropriate quality assurance measures are taken. The technician/technologist is also responsible for assisting with and performing numerous Cardiology as well as clerical procedures. Qualifications Experience Two years previous experience performing Echocardiography and/or Vascular ultrasound. Education Successful completion of an approved Echocardiography or Vascular course and/or demonstrated expertise in the theory and techniques of Echocardiography and/or Vascular studies including anatomy, pathology and interpretation Licensure R.D.C.S. or R.V.T. preferred, must have a BLS card (AHA-approved).
