EXPERIENCED SYSTEM TEST ENGINEER (EXPERIMENTAL SPACE SYSTEMS) Job FULL-TIMELocation Seal Beach, California; El Segundo, California Job DescriptionIn this role, you will work in multidisciplinary teams to bring system integration & test programs to fruition in support of our customers'' mission objectives. An ideal candidate has a strong technical background across various spacecraft subsystems, hardware & software integration, lab testing with engineering development units (EDUs) or simulations, flight hardware integration & test in clean room/high bay facilities, and spacecraft ground system integration. You will need to be able to dive into broad, minimally-defined design spaces and effectively lead integrated efforts.Position Responsibilities:• Support technology integration for and development of first-of-kind space vehicles and missions• Develop and present review packages to internal and external senior leadership• Work proactively and independently in a fast-paced, demanding atmosphere• Design & execute spacecraft and/or ground system test programs• Define spacecraft Assembly, Integration, and Test (AI&T) flows• Develop test procedures, requirements, and configurations• Generate and/or execute test scripts/software• Perform system integration lab testing with engineering development units (EDUs) & emulators/simulations• Lead spacecraft flight hardware testing, data collection, and data review/analysis• Design and/or operate Ground Support Equipment (GSE) & Special Test Equipment (STE)• Support system verification/validation, sell-off, and preparation for launchThis position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed locations. This position requires a current Tier 5 (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) (U.S. Citizenship required) or requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program. Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):• Bachelor''s, Master''s or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry• Experience with systems engineeringPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):• Experience system level testing on satellite systems.• Understanding of the verification process.• Experience using test instrumentation.• Working knowledge of test scripts/software.• Experience with simulations and hardware/software integration labs.• Experience working with cross-functional teams and external customers.Typical Education/Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years'' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years'' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. Relocation:This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
