Check us out at Mechanical Assembler has primary responsibility to accurately define appropriate build sequences and provide hands on labor to assemble assigned projects. This position requires a detail-oriented individual that has the ability to take responsibility and see projects through to completion.What does the Mechanical Assembler is responsible do for SpecSys? They:Assemble mechanical components into controls of moderate complexity by following controlled documentation, standards and specificationsAssemble hydraulic actuators by hand using hand tools bending tubing, drilling and tapingIdentify appropriate assembly sequences to minimize unproductive timeEnsure products are built and tested to meet customer requirementsIdentify component shortages and coordinate parts tracking with purchasing / material handling departmentCoordinate work load with the assigned project manager to ensure design changes ECO changes are implemented into the overall assembly processProvide input into QC process improvementsWhat do we look for in a quality candidate? Someone who:Has knowledge of designing, using, and repairing machines and tools, computer hardware and software, how to build machines, using plans, blueprints, drawings, and modelsCan use math skills to solve problems.Has the ability to read and understand written information.Can identify problems and review information.Has the ability to read, understand and follow detailed drawings, schematics, assembly drawings, customer specifications and assembly proceduresCan lift 75 poundsHas the ability to troubleshoot hydraulic and mechanical schematicsCan stand for 8 hours plus per dayHas the ability to understand and willingness to follow Work Order instructions including sign-off of assembly department dispatchesHas the ability to understand and willingness to follow existing QC processesHas any combination of education and experience that would provide the required skill and knowledge for successful performanceMany tasks include their own work and/or the review of work of others in the department.
