SUMMARYThe Sr. Digital Optimization Specialist, Global is responsible for translating the global marketing and merchandising strategies into optimized web and mobile experiences for the omni-channel shopper. This role will own the development and execution of our global content and experience strategy to support high-visibility campaigns and programs and will be responsible for articulating how the strategy will improve our customer experience through the buying journey. This person identifies and champions digital best practices and an optimized user experience through testing and change differentiating the JOANN brand from the competition providing a best-in-class experience. As part of the digital team, you will operate within technical and business context bringing global marketing campaigns and programs to life on the website. This role is highly collaborative with marketing, merchandising and digital teams to gain a clear understanding of priorities and goals of campaigns and is a subject matter expert on UX design and performance of our landing pages continually testing and optimizing. This position will require a collaborative mindset, strong process improvement skills, attention to detail, and broad ecommerce/digital acumen. PRINCIPAL DUTIESLeads and champions the user experience strategy for both domestic and international homepage, site experiences and mobile app partnering with marketing and merchandising to align on promotional priorities, campaigns and storytelling messaging. Develop and oversee the effective planning, QA and execution of digital content to ensure overall cohesiveness, efficiency, accuracy and timeliness of all web content publishing. Conducts regular audits to ensure plans are fresh and relevant. Develops and reports out metrics for performance measurement and continuous improvement. Manage relationships, influence and drive cross-functional collaboration. Partner with Creative to develop best in-class content standards. Responsible for global competitive patterning, merchandising strategies, localization opportunities to optimize the consumer experience for each country. Partner with agencies to develop and execute technical & business strategies to drive the global business. Test and optimize leveraging data to drive future global content/experience decisioning and drive results through an optimized creative approach. In partnership with our digital agencies, analyze on-site behavior and provide recommendations for experiments and personalization that improve engagement and conversion. Partners with IT/Solutions and creative to understand and implement new template functionality, UX or technology needs and identify and reduce process or system inefficiencies. Understanding of omni-channel eCommerce best practices, monitors competition and demonstrates subject matter expertise with the ability to educate cross functional teams. Keeps current with the latest eCommerce trends and technology to keep the site at the forefront and ahead of competition. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCEEducation Minimum: Bachelors Degree Major - Merchandising, Business, Marketing, Communication Experience Minimum: 6+ years retail experience in eCommerce, Omni-Channel, Merchandising or Marketing.
