The Precision Assembler supporting paint and hydrostatic testing will use paint application techniques and equipment to professionally finish exterior surfaces of assembled and unassembled pumps, components or other items to support the facility as required. This role will also perform hydrostatic pressure testing on various components to ensure compliance with required quality and industry standards. Shift is Monday-Thursday 3:30pm - 2:00 am Principal Accountabilities: Review area of the pump(s) to be painted; determines quantity of paint to use for the job order. Identifies appropriate paint colors, mixing if needed. Safely prepare surfaces to be painted, which may include cleaning with alcohol and using compressed air methods. Masks, removes, covers, or otherwise protects non painted surfaces. Applies paint to exterior surfaces using brushes and/or sprayers. Complies with safety, chemical and waste storage and disposal regulations. Maintain cleanliness of paint equipment and perform necessary housekeeping and safety duties as required. Perform Hydrostatic Pressure Testing on various components to ensure compliance with required quality standards Fits parts such as casings, casing covers, impellers, seals and Installs piping plans to match drawings. Move materials and parts to and from work areas via power lift trucks and fork trucks. Operate overhead and jib cranes to lift and move heavy parts. Performs other duties as assigned, including willingness to move to other areas of the plant as needed. Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED is required 1+ year experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred. Previous painting experience in a manufacturing environment or other painting related role preferred. Prolonged periods of standing and painting. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Must be able to be respirator certified. Ability to work overtime as required. Good mechanical ability and manual dexterity is essential (able to stand for long periods of time).
