Job Function: The ERP and Database Administrator will manage, maintain, and improve Bisons ERP software and the related databases. Additional responsibilities include assisting users with ERP usage, report writing, training, and departmental business process improvements. The smooth and efficient operation of Bisons ERP software is quintessential to the healthy operation of our company. The ERP and Database Administrator will strive to maintain maximum system uptime, data accuracy and security, and minimize any system outages or data corruptions by continuously monitoring and evaluating our servers and software, identifying areas for improvement and coordinating improvement initiatives with the VP Administration to adopt the necessary changes to Bisons infrastructure and software to maintain expected operations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Ensure the reliable performance of Bisons ERP systems.Troubleshoot and resolve any ERP related hardware, software, user access, or other problems.Monitor system, ERP software, and database performance to maintain system security, data reliability, and maximum system uptime.Responsible for deploying new software releases, patches, fixes, and software upgrades.Review overall operation on a semi-annual basis and make recommendations to add/ change features, configurations, and/ or workflows based on user feedback.Collaborate directly with business units, functional subject matter experts, and others to implement user requirements into technical solutions.Develop test strategies and automation frameworks, incorporating automated testing into the development lifecycle across the team to ensure quality deliverables. Partner closely with Cre8tive Technologies to build knowledge, expertise, and implement best practices at Bison.Develop training manuals, document procedures, and conduct initial, recurrent, and incident training for Bison employees.Develop custom reports using the ERP software, SQL, or business intelligence software.Attend ERP seminars, training, and meetings as required.All other tasks as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience: Must have 2 years minimum of ERP and Database administration experience, preferably in the manufacturing industry.SQL Programming experience.Epicor 10 administrator experience preferred.Bachelors degree from four-year College or University. Required Skill(s): Excellent computer skills in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Word), Adobe DC, etc.Functional subject matter expert in Epicor 10- and third-party tools.Advanced software administration.SQL Database administration and programming.Strong work ethic to deliver high volumes of workAbility to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and government regulations.Ability to write reports, business correspondence, procedure manuals.Experience in developing training curriculum and teaching small to medium size groups of people with diverse backgrounds.Effectively present information and respond to questions and scenarios, from groups of managers, employees, and clients.Confidentiality and discretion with strong ethical character a must.Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with all levels of management and staff as well as outside clients, business associates and suppliers.
