We are looking for a dynamic individual with accounting experience for our Carmel corporate office. Hotel accounting experience is a must. Benefits include: -Bonus Plan -Great starting rate and flexible scheduling -Vision / Dental / Medical / Life Insurances -Up to 15 PTO Days in the first year -Hotel Discounts Job Type: Full-time Pay: Negotiable DOE Required: -Min 5-years Hotel Accounting -Bachelors in Accounting -Proficiency of M3, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PDF programs -Must have management experience overseeing accounting team and operations Job Description: The Corporate Controller will work closely with senior property level and corporate level management. They must be able to facilitate efficient communication across an entire portfolio. The candidate is responsible for overseeing all of the accounts payables for the hotels and administrative office duties and special projects/tasks while fostering a positive work environment. The ideal candidate will be even tempered with strong accounting, interpersonal skills, organizational skills as well as written and verbal communication skills. Responsibilities: The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest of standards for a fluctuating number of hotels in the portfolio. Accounting: -Ensure that all invoices are reviewed and processed accurately and in a timely manner, meeting all discount and payment deadlines. -Understand, manage, and generate the weekly check run payments to vendors. -Respond to vendor or internal inquiries and research to resolve concerns or discrepancies. -Prepare and post accounting documents including but not limited to requisitions, expense reports, and general expenses. -Reconcile vendor statements routinely and maintain vendor master files. -Maintain detailed and complete records. -Assist with month end closing ensuring invoices are processed within the month received. -Report on the status of accounts payable -Execute all day-to-day banking needs and deposits. -Bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations -Contract Maintenance (license renewals) -Perform other required tasks as assigned. Administrative: -Arranging staff meetings and scheduling appointments. -Answering or transferring phone calls and taking messages for select staff members -Maintaining the office calendar. -Writing memos, correspondence, invoices, receipts, spreadsheets and other reports as needed. -Keeping the office database and filing system up to date and organized. -Purchasing office supplies. -Working with office equipment vendors to purchase and maintain office equipment such as printers and fax machines -Sorting and delivering all mail and faxes -Clean / sanitize office as needed -Miscellaneous Administrative Tasks Requirements: -Proven work experience as a Hotel Controller -Good knowledge of bookkeeping procedures -Hands-on experience with accounting software preferred -Excellent proficiency of M3, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PDF programs. -Solid data entry skills with an ability to identify numerical errors -Good organizational and time-management abilities -High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate''s or bachelor''s degree in accounting required. -Strong attention to detail and organization required, ability to adapt to change and effectively multi-task. -Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly with limited supervision. -Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of staff. -Ability to convey information effectively and clearly both in both verbal and written form. -Ability to be internally inspired to perform a task to the best of one''s ability using his or her own drive or initiative. -Must be reliable, responsible, dependable, and fulfilling of obligations.
