To learn more, please see Cengage Group is looking for highly motivated ServiceNow Developer with verifiable experience in Development and Administration of a ServiceNow platform in Enterprise environment. The ServiceNow Developers main responsibility is to develop applications on the ITOM, ITSM, ITAM and ITBM suite. This resource will have in-depth experience with Configuration Management (including classes and CMDB hierarchy), Discovery, Cloud Discovery, Service Mapping and troubleshooting and ServiceNow workflows and scripting knowledge. Essential duties and responsibilities: + Develop software solutions as required through scripting and software development + Understand the business needs and translate them in technical requirements considering standard process and guidelines provided by ServiceNow + Install, configure, and integrate software products from ServiceNow with a focus on the ITOM based products (discovery, service mapping, configuration management, event management) + Implement and maintain CMDB by populating CI/attributes/relationship information in CMDB by configuring discovery and service mapping. + Build custom probes and patterns to enhance ServiceNow Discovery. + Monitor and maintain discovery and integration jobs, monitor failures, and remediate issues by identifying problems. + Perform on-going analysis of CMDB health metrics, dashboards and assist with audits of CMDB data to ensure that the data is accurate. + Maintain & administrate ServiceNow MID Servers + Manage a multi-source CMDB applying identification and reconciliation rules to increase the accuracy and reliability of the data. + Works closely with Asset Management and ITSM teams and implement/automate workflows + Develop systems integrations and process automation, fully utilizing the platform''s workflow capabilities, including Orchestration + Responsible for integrating CMDB to Change, Incident, and problem Management processes, providing impact analysis, assistance with root cause analysis. + Experience in multiple application architectures and supporting technologies. + Help functional teams and build requested items and tasks using workflows to manage and improve processes + Strong development experience in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Angular + Strong in managing ServiceNow client and Server-side scripts (UI actions, ACL, UI policies, UI scripts, Business Rules, Workflow, Process flows) + Web service proficiency (REST, SOAP) as well as XML and JSON knowledge + Strong in ServiceNow data load capabilities and reporting, performance analytics and dashboard/homepage capabilities + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills + Knowledge of networking concepts such as IP Addressing, Firewalls, ports + Knowledge of relational databases (MySQL, MSSQL, Oracle) + ITIL knowledge with the ability to relate concepts to implementation strategies. + Excellent communications and clear written skills required. + Broad general knowledge of IT infrastructure topology including typical application, server, and networking configurations. Good to have + CSDM 3.0 knowledge and implementation experience + Experience in Application Portfolio Management in ServiceNow + Integration Hub and Orchestration experience Experience: + Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, Math or related (equivalent experience considered) + 5+ years development experience in ServiceNow + 2+ years overall experience as a ServiceNow ITOM Administrator role + 7+ years overall IT experience + The following training and/or related certifications are desirable: + ServiceNow Application Developer + ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist Discovery + ServiceNow Certified Service Mapping Implementation + ServiceNow System Administration + ITILv4 Certification Cengage Group is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer.
