This includes: assessing/analyzing the nature/cause of program/processing failures and implementation of corrective action; preparation and update of system and user documentation. Coordination of necessary testing to certify system changes, fixes, patches, and upgrades to assigned systems are operational and meet customer business needs. Prepares system/project detail designs to include: logical database design; data and process flow diagrams; input/output definitions; interface definitions; processing logic; back-up and recovery procedures; systems, operations and user documentation necessary to achieve project objectives. Develop business cost analysis, preparation of IT plans and setting priorities in development/maintenance of project tasks. Participates in application development using life-cycle development methodology. Assist customers in the effective use of assigned systems; provides input and advise the Senior Systems Analyst and Application Services Manager on planning, development, implementation for systems and applications in their assigned area of responsibility. Coordinates with client agencies to define client requirements for enhancements to existing applications. Conducts application walk-throughs for clients and operations staff. Provides training as required to efficiently utilize the application or system. Responds to trouble calls (incidents) via the ticketing system, concerning applications and directs or takes the necessary corrective action for problem resolution. Identifies and recommends potential applications based on known ITD Enterprise Architecture. Documents incidents and change activity per operating standards and procedures. Individuals currently serving as a member in good standing in the National Guard or the organized military reserves who wish to be considered for interview preference as permitted in Municipal Personnel Rules 3.30.031 D must attach proof of current service to the application. Proof of current service can be shown by submission of a statement of service which, at a minimum, shows full name, date of birth, Social Security Number, date service began, branch of service, rank, name of command providing the information, and unit of assignment. The statement of service must be on a form or letterhead of the individuals command organization and show the name, signature, title and contact information for the signer providing the statement of service.
