Senior Project Manager, Data Center ConstructionOverview: *** Remote within the U.S.***Cyxtera''s Project Management Team is responsible for the successful delivery all Capex & Expansion construction projects across the Cyxtera global portfolio. The successful candidate will be part of this team. The primary responsibility of the Senior Project Manager is to oversee the complete building process of various construction projects from basis of design to turnover. Projects range from end-of-life equipment replacement projects to new greenfield data center builds. The senior project manager''s duties will include managing scope, schedule, budget and quality associated with each of these projects.Responsibilities:Oversee multiple capital projects simultaneouslyLiaison between project management and engineering, procurement, sales & various other internal groups wihtin CyxteraManagement of RFP processes and scope comparisons for the assessment of contractors and professional services (Architect, Engineer, Cx Agent, etc.)Execution of project contractsChair weekly project meetingsMeet with contractors, vendors as neededManage Capital Program budget and cashflowBudget control, invoice management, change order reviewManagement of overall project schedule and milestone deliveryProcurement of owner furnished electrical and mechanical equipmentTravel to project sites as neededRequired Skills:Vast understanding of complex Electrical and Mechanical SystemsProven project management skillsAbility to prioritize work and meet deadlinesSelf-motivated and able to work without supervisionProfessional and courteous communicator with the public, customers, and colleaguesExperience and Education:Experience in building design, construction, or operationsMinimum 5 years in the data center industry, 10 years preferredBachelor''s degree in Engineering or equivalent job experienceCyxtera is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
