BARTENDER - $2000 HIRING BONUS

BARTENDERSTATUS: Full-Time FLSA: Non-ExemptDEPARTMENT: Food and Beverage WORKING HOURS:This is an hourly position. The incumbent is expected to work the necessary hours to meet the needs of a 24 hour establishment.SUMMARY:Responsible for the creative and dynamic beverage service to guests in assigned service station ensuring efficient and prompt service to all guests. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Maintains a neat and clean bar station on a continual basis.Greet all casino patrons.Maintains adequate stock of beverages, supplies and clean glassware in accordance with established pars and routine procedures. Maintains a thorough understanding of all menu items and is able to answer questions regarding food and drink items and their preparation. Provides properly mixed cocktails and other beverages, as requested, to service staff and guests.Follows all TIPs or L.E.A.D guidelines to help assist with guests'' responsible consumption. Adheres to any cash control policies and procedures. Maintains composure during times of high volume. Commits to the Team R.O.C.K. Philosophy.Acts as a role model and always present oneself as a credit to River Rock Casino and encourages others to do the same.Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, department and company policies and procedures.Attends all required meetings and training.Maintains confidentiality at all times.Performs other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required. Previous experience as a Bartender preferred.Previous experience in food service or as a bar back required.Knowledge of local wines is preferred. Must demonstrate ability to operate POS system, make change, and accurately conduct credit card transactions and account of all monies at the end of each shift. Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team.Must present professional appearance at all times.Must be able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality with respect to all matters pertaining to the gaming enterprise business.EDUCATION:High School Diploma or equivalent GED required. LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS:Must be RAAP or equivalent certified. Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license from the Dry Creek Gaming Commission.PHYSICAL DEMANDS :Must be able to maneuver around all areas of the casino.Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.Must be able to frequently reach with hands and arms.
