We are seeking a hard-working, innovative, detail-oriented, and creative team player to join our payroll department as a full-time Sr. Payroll Specialist located in Provo, Utah. The individual we are looking for is also someone that enjoys working in a team environment but also excels working at an individual level.Location: Utah, USA. Hybrid/In-person options availableWhat we offer:Group Health, Dental, and Vision plansPet insurance, Life insurance, and EAP benefits401K with employer matchPaid holidays and paid time offOpportunity for advancementUpbeat and exciting company culture and much more!Responsibilities include:Assist HR with employee setup, maintenance, and time tracking in the company''s Payroll & HRIS software.Calculate and enter hours, bonuses, commission, and other methods of compensation when necessary.Answer employees'' questions and concerns regarding payroll.Audit and verify accuracy of payroll data entry.Assist department supervisors with employee promotions, terminations, and other payroll-related changes.Carefully maintain and distribute payroll reports and records as vestigate and resolve payroll discrepancies.Enter and maintain employee garnishments in a timely and accurate manner.Assist the Payroll Manager with any other payroll-related tasks.Analyze compensation-related data including wages and bonusesOversee payroll transactionsConduct regular audits on payroll procedures and recordsDesign, document, and implement procedures to streamline payroll processesManage payment calendars for the fiscal yearReport to management on payroll issues and changesAnswer employees'' questions about salaries and taxStay up-to-date on state and federal payroll and tax lawsQualifications:Education: Prefer a degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related experienceExperience: Payroll (5 years Minimum Preferred)Required Skills:Must have the ability to handle sensitive information and maintain a high level of confidentiality.Must be able to speak, write and understand English in a manner that is sufficient for effective communication with others.Extensive knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Proficient with Microsoft Excel or related software.Proficient with the ability to quickly learn payroll software.Experience with WorkDay payroll is a very strong plus.If you require reasonable accommodation in completing this application, interviewing, completing any pre-employment testing, or otherwise participating in the employee selection process, please direct your inquiries to [Click Here to Email Your Resumé].Aptive Environmental:Aptive Environmental provides environmentally responsible residential and commercial pest services to more than 5,000 cities across North America.
