This position will lead project teams, oversee the development of all required project permit deliverables, with the goal of soon becoming the Engineer of Record (EOR) for projects. You will employ performance based analysis to create robust designs using our proprietary building systems, and participate with a cross disciplinary team in further developing novel solutions for project conditions. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience using several construction methods and materials, as well as proficient knowledge and skills in Revit, StructSoft and BIM360, and advanced skills in the use of ETABS or similar Structural design software, with a curiosity towards technology and continuous improvement. Significant experience with concrete foundations and podiums, hot rolled steel frames is a must. Cold formed steel design of load bearing wall structures is at the core of what we do.... experience is a this Role, You Will:Serve as Lead Structural Engineer and/or Project Manager on projectsPrepare calculations and reviews calculations and specificationsCreate and coordinate specialty connections as required for permit submittalsPossess knowledge of codes, standards, and building practicesInterface with design teams, leadership, and clientsAssist in developing project schedulesIdentify scope of work on a per project basis; delegate work to staff accordinglyEvaluate and propose appropriate materials and systemsPrepare reports, technical memorandums, recommendations, and cost estimatesMentor younger staffPerform factory observationsAbility to perform field walks/structural observations.
