We provide care for patients from Nelson Hardin Marion Washington Spencer Bullitt and LaRue counties. Founded in 1951 by the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth Flaget Memorial Hospital is nationally recognized for orthopedic care surgical care and inpatient satisfaction. We offer a complete array of services including cancer care heart care outpatient rehabilitation skilled nursing weight loss surgery pain management general surgery obstetrics and gynecology maternity care and sports medicine. The cancer center is proud to be able to provide full support and cancer care to patients through its medical and radiation oncology programs. CHI Saint Joseph Health supports 5000 active employees 8 hospitals specialty clinics and a Medical Group with more than 200 locations across Central and Eastern KY. With our combined resources CommonSpirit is committed to building healthy communities advocating for those who are poor and vulnerable and innovating how and where healing can happen both inside our hospitals and out in the community.ResponsibilitiesExpectations Supervises assigned professional, technical, and clerical staff of the department to ensure the quality of work.Manages the workflow of the unit to ensure the delivery of quality patient care.Implements and supports quality improvement activities for the department.Develops staffing patterns and ensures availability of sufficient qualified staff to meet patient care needs.Works to develop and retain highly skilled and well-rounded staff including orienting, training, directing work, evaluating performance and assuring clinical competency.QualificationsMinimum Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN) in Nursing from an accredited nursing college or programActive Registered Nurse (RN) license cleared by the Kentucky Board of Nursing or with eNLC multi-state practice privilegeBasic Life Support (BLS)Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS ) required to obtain within 90 days post hirePediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)NIHSS certificationMinimum of 3 years RN experience required.Minimum of 2 years leadership (i.e. RN-Charge) experience required.Equivalent leadership capabilities will be considered in lieu of the leadership experience requirement based on executive leadership approval.
