On-Call Security Officer

Standing guard at the marine terminal gate or the ship in port, you check Transportation Worker Identification Cards and ensure compliance with the Maritime Transportation Security Act. You are alert and observant, effectively monitoring and controlling pedestrian and vehicle traffic. This allows you to ensure that only authorized personnel and activity are allowed. If problems arise, you remain calm and handle them professionally. You are conscientious about properly reporting any issues or suspicious behavior.
