SUMMARY Location: Embassy Suites By Hilton Springfield Position Type: Hourly Supervisor We are currently seeking an extraordinary Banquet professional to lead our banquet efforts in the role of Banquet Captain/ F&B Supervisor. As a Banquet Captain/ F&B Supervisor , you will be responsible for the overall success of the hotel''s food and beverage service. You will assist in managing the entire banquet staff/ restaurant staff to ensure high-quality execution of receptions, meetings, and events. This position will grow a multi-demensional skill mindset for rapid development of career progression. This position may require flexible scheduling availability. Job Requirements: - Analyze Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and plan for upcoming events. - Effectively communicate with customers, managers, and associates to ensure that all room set-ups, equipment, and supplies, staffing and menus meet/exceed customer''s expectations - Supervise all banquet staff before, during and after events. - Assemblethe banquet service before mealtime and disassemble it thereafter - Coordinate quality of food service between cooking staff and floor staff - Supervise dinner service in the restaurant at times. - Must be able to stand on your feet for long periods of time. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Job Qualifications: - Highly motivatedteam player with strong initiative and desire for achievement - Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary - Ability to anticipate the needs of the guests and acknowledge their requests - Ability to work well in stressful situations - Readily available and approachable for all guests while providingexcellent guest service - Ability to help validate customers '' IDs and monitor all beverage consumption The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
