Registered Nurse - Per DiemThe Rebecca M. Sykes Wellness Center atPhillips Academy seeks a registered nurse for per diem status. This is anacademic year plus Summer Session position that is scheduled based on the needsof the Wellness Center. The per diem nurse is required to work 2 full shiftsper term and 3 shifts per year must be during the off shift (evenings,overnights or weekend) Responsibilities include independent health assessment, nursing care andmanagement of students seen in the Rebecca M. Sykes Wellness Center, both on anurgent care basis and for those students staying in our extended care facility.Other potential responsibilities include chart review and ongoing clinicalprojects. Candidates must have strong assessment skills, be comfortable workingindependently, be able to manage a fluctuating census, and enjoy working withthe adolescent population. Strong communication, organizational and timemanagement skills are imperative. Computer skills are required and experiencewith electronic medical records is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate is aprofessional looking for a positive work environment and works collaborativelyas part of a team. Requirements: A Massachusetts RN license, with a Bachelor''s Degree or higherlevel of education preferred. Current CPR/AED certification is required. Fiveto seven years of experience in adolescent medicine, school health, ambulatorycare and/or urgent care/ER experience is required. Full background checkrequired.
