AEP Manufacturing Administrative Services, LLCis looking for aDesigner. This positionreports to the Engineering Manager and could be located in any of our offices in Hendersonville, TN; Burlington, WI; or Glasgow, MO. The Designer performs a variety of design activities including the creation of drawings, nesting, material requirements with an understanding of production methods. The Designer creates and manages necessary drawing files and other related documents.RESPONSIBILITIESCommunicate with appropriate departments to clarify job requirements, add needed information, or research and obtain appropriate supporting documentation.Create drawings, burn files, and nesting programs.Maintain Vault and server job files.Print fabrication drawings.Keeps records of job received, examining for accuracy and completeness.Identify potential drawing issues and redesign to improve fabrication.Calculate dimensions, weights, and material requirements.Analyzes and monitors raw material inventory.Become familiar with company products and practices, material libraries, and other automated design municate with customers, vendors, field engineers, and manufacturers.Performs other duties as assigned.REQUIREMENTSMinimum 5 years of mechanical design experience.Bachelor degree; OR completion of a technical school in mining, plus 5 years of related work experience; OR any equivalent combination of experience and training.Professional Engineer license a plus.Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, Access and Outlook.Highly skilled in Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.Good verbal and written communication skillsTeam player with a positive attitude.Willingness to learn new processes and applications.Ability to travel up to 30%.WAGES & BENEFITSAEP Manufacturing Administrative Services, LLCoffers employees and their families a comprehensive benefit package to ensure their personal and family''s overall health and wellness needs are met.
