PSYCHIATRIST, MIT Medical, to provide psychiatric care (i.e., medication evaluation, medication management, crisis counseling, and psychotherapy) to undergraduate/graduate MIT Medical patients within a team model. Will assess patient mental health status through interview and synthesize this clinical information to formulate mental health status, diagnosis, develop a plan of care and treatment, implement treatment plan, and evaluate follow-up strategies according to age-specific plans of care; and provide health education, supportive counseling, and outreach to the MIT community in collaboration with other individuals/services at MIT Medical and across the MIT community. Some Walk-in Clinic coverage may be required. Will work in accordance with MIT Medical policies and state and federal rules, regulations, and standards of care. Job RequirementsREQUIRED: MD or DO from an accredited medical school; completion of a psychiatry residency program with an accredited U.S. institution; board certified/board eligible in psychiatry; valid MA license, MA CSR, and federal DEA; at least six years experience in private practice or a higher education institution setting; excellent clinical skills; and strong leadership, team building, and organizational skills; and solid working knowledge of practice improvement assessment and tools. Must be able to remind others of practice/clinic policies when needed and conduct crucial conversations; give and receive both positive and negative feedback; cooperate with others in the pursuit of common objectives; set expectations and help create a vision for the clinical service; confront peers and foster conflict resolution; lead peer reviews and provide focused feedback; communicate effectively with people at all levels; meet time-sensitive deadlines; and function independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, high-intensity, time-pressured work environment.
