Job DescriptionStrategists sit on the Cultural Strategy and Insights (CSI) team at 160over90. The CSI team is passionate about helping our clients meet consumers right where they are: at the intersection of people culture and pop culture. Strategist will demonstrate strong aptitude for and awareness of the role of insight-driven creative briefs and breakthrough planning in the overarching agency process. Success in this role requires both ''hard skills'' (e.g. knowledge of best practices, platform fundamentals, consumer behaviors, insight articulation, creative brief writing, research tools) and ''soft skills'' (e.g. intellectual curiosity, cultural awareness, collaboration, and emotional intelligence).Strategists are expected to quickly develop an in-depth understanding of clients'' businesses and strong working relationships with their creative, account, and production counterparts. The right candidate will be able to assist across marketing channels and disciplines, and should feel comfortable and excited to support the experiential team specifically.RESPONSIBILITIESDesk and syndicated research Assist in creative brief development Assist in experiential and communications plan development Assist in primary research designAssist with new business opportunitiesTake ownership of specific assignments to support team''s workForge working partnerships with account and creative peers REQUIREMENTS2+ years strategy experience in a creative agencyExperience with partnerships, sponsorships, alcoholic beverages, new business, social content, and luxury brands a plusSolid understanding of experiential marketing fundamentals, best practices, and frameworksA cursory understanding of how category dynamics, cultural trends and competitor activity can impact clients and ideasNatural interest in staying abreast of cultural trends and emerging consumer behaviors Desire and willingness to continue building core strategy skills, including comms and experience planning, social best practices, presentation and storytelling, brand strategy, etc.160/90 is an equal opportunity employer committed to a diverse and inclusive work environment.
