Lube Technician - Kearny Mesa ChevroletJob Summary:Be a part of a winning team! We are looking to hire a Lubrication Technician who performs oil changes and lubricates moving parts of vehicles while in training with skilled technicians. As with all positions within dealerships, lubrication servicers are expected to uphold the highest ethical standards.Responsibilities:- Making sure moving parts are lubricated if needed. - Injecting grease into units, such as springs, universal joints and steering knuckles, using hand-or compressed air-powered grease gun.- Inspecting fluid level of steering gears, power steering reservoirs, transmissions differentials, rear axle housings and shackles. - Checking air pressure of tires, adding water to the radiator, testing the battery, replacing oil and air filters, and spraying springs with lubricant.- Draining oil and refilling crankcase with right amount of new lubricant. - Working alongside a skilled technician to learn how to perform quality vehicle service maintenance repairs. Qualifications:- Must have a High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.- Successful completion of a National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF)-certified technical training program in automotive technology- One to two years of prior experience is required.- Lubrication servicers should possess mechanical aptitude and knowledge of how automobiles work. - Experience working on motor vehicles or as a hobby is also valuable. - A valid driver''s license with a good driving record is needed for this position.Kearny Mesa Chevrolet offers excellent benefits, including medical and dental insurance, life insurance, a 401K plan, flexible spending accounts, advancement opportunities and much more.
