The 5400/5500 Acute Surgical Unit at Rochester General Hospital is a 51 bed Unit specializing in colorectal surgeries and plastic surgeries. Nurses on 5400/5500 are experts in Ostomy care, Drains, & VAC Dressings. The Unit cares for patients who have undergone Plastic surgery, Neurosurgery, General surgery, GYN oncology, and other Acute Care surgical patients. The teams collaborate very closely with the surgeons for optimal patient outcomes.Features:Each Nurse will have support to pursue educational opportunities/professional certifications which may include CCRN, TCRN, RN-BC, etc. The 5400/5500 team shares staff and the team is supported by 1 Nurse Manager, 1 Assistant Nurse Manager, and 1 Educator.Up to $5k Sign On Bonus!STATUS: Full TimeDEPARTMENT: Acute Surgical UnitSCHEDULE: Day/Evening/Night, Every other Weekend / HolidayATTRIBUTES:Diploma or Associate''s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor''s Degree in Nursing preferred.Registered Nurse license in New York State.Basic Life Support (BLS) certificationRESPONSIBILITIES:Patient Care & Service.
